Job Description

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Glenview, Illinois, United States. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with various responsibilities in the trade compliance field, influencing business and corporate personnel’s decisions through your guidance and expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee multiple trade projects, aligning them with the trade compliance strategy

- Offer trade compliance guidance to both business and corporate personnel

- Actively manage relationships with preferred customs brokers to ensure adherence to corporate guidelines and business instructions

- Conduct regular audits of trade compliance programs and processes that support import/export transactions

- Evaluate import/export data to pinpoint trends, risks, and opportunities

- Develop training resources, tools, and trade content for internal use

- Implement training sessions tailored to the needs of the business

- Collaborate with business teams to mitigate risk and foster efficient supply chain programs. Requirements – Candidate should possess a Paralegal certification or relevant degree in Law.

- Experience in Trade Compliance is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Power BI tools is required.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is necessary.

- Excellent research and analytical skills are required.

- Knowledge of legal terminology and principles would be beneficial.

- Ability to work well in a team and independently is required.

- Experience in drafting legal documentation and correspondence is necessary.

- Proficiency in using legal research software and other related databases is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to cases is essential.
