North America Real Estate Industry Leader

Aon is seeking a Real Estate Industry Leader to the North America Region which includes the United States and Canada. The Real Estate Industry Leader will be responsible for taking industry insights, content and capability to North America clients regionally, and providing feedback from clients on top-of-mind issues and unmet needs. This role will be responsible for the growth of revenue across the portfolio of Real Estate Industry in North America as well as retention and accelerated growth of their own clients within the industry. The role will support, and coach Account Executives (AEs) and Producers to grow relationships with Aon’s largest clients within the Real Estate industry. This role will collaborate with the Industry work done in region and solution line in relation to industry specialty to ensure content, insights and innovation are leveraged to bring our best insights, content, and capability to our clients and business development team. The industry leader will have responsibility and accountable to implement the Industry playbook and work in collaboration with other Industry leaders, Regional Leadership as well as Sales Enablement and Marketing. The Real Estate Industry Leader will report direct into the North America Region Industry Leader. The role can be located out of any of our North America offices. he Real Estate Industry Leader will require distinct capabilities in following areas: Business Development

+ Drive incremental sales growth via self-production and through the Industry Growth Team.

+ Lead and drive accountability for sales activity within the Industry Growth team.

+ Develop, plan and implement industry-specific sales strategies with market sales leaders.

+ Work with other leaders within Aon to collaborate on cross-practice sales.

+ Represent the practice in strategic business initiatives and innovative solutions.

Insights

+ Understanding of industry specific issues that are top of mind for senior executives.

+ Ability to connect issues to Aon Solutions/offerings and develop innovative, customized new solutions for clients that result in revenue growth with viable margins.

+ Support industry specific content creation working closely with the content and capability team and solution lines.

+ Identifying insights to present at relevant client events both hosted by Aon and where Aon is sponsor/participant.

+ Author white papers and other industry collateral, especially as industry-specific topics arise.

Relationships

+ Is viewed in local market and/or internally as a known “brand” – is sought out by clients, prospects and colleagues for advice.

+ Leveraging own network of broad set of senior relationships and bring relevance to open doors with new buying centers for North America clients.

+ Accountable for building deeper relationships working closely with AEs and Producers, to expand our relevance and buying centers across Real Estate Industry clients.

+ Mentor client-facing colleagues in connecting relationship dots at clients and actively helping them build trusted client relationships, including using all the relationships of our Aon Executive Committee, North America Leadership Team members and relationship mapping.

+ Maintains own book of Real Estate Industry clients.

Collaboration

+ Participating in RFP’s and leading deal coaching

+ Creates a Real Estate community for colleagues working on Real Estate clients helping to building their skill sets and knowledge around relationship, relevance, and scaling/replicating revenue.

+ Participate on Global/Regional councils to discuss external events and support solutions/content working with client-facing colleagues to drive them to market.

+ Partner with the Solution Line leaders to develop solutions ensuring the voice of the client is fed into thought leadership or product innovation.

+ Collates client feedback from client-facing colleagues on trends and unmet industry needs.

Operational Excellence

+ Recruiting

+ Recruit, retain and engage an impactful and diverse team.

+ Maintain and monitor a competitive compensation strategy.

+ Foster a culture of collaboration and diversity.

+ Assessing current landscape within the Industry and sub-industries (white space, client plans, competitive view)

+ Knowledge of pipeline for the Industry, including offensive, defensive, and articulating value.

+ Able to replicate and scale wins and use the jeopardy process to manage revenue at risk.

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $350,000 – $400,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan. Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance.
