Your Role:

The Director of Benefits reports to the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and will be responsible for providing thought leadership and strategic direction for the company’s health and welfare plans, wellness program, and retirement plans. This includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, multiple point solutions, 401(k) plans, nonqualified deferred compensation, pension plan, and more. You will have the opportunity to:

+ Key member of HR Leadership team developing HR strategy and execution tactics.

+ Develop and implement the strategic Human Resources employee benefits plans with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, and retention activities and strategic compensation and benefits initiatives. Lead the benefits function to effectively design, implement, and manage the strategy, philosophy, programs, policies, and initiatives while maintaining cost, quality, service, and process controls.

+ Lead team that manages the day-to-day administration of group benefit programs.

+ Provide insight and bring innovative strategies to benefits design and administration enabling associates to optimize value for every dollar spent.

+ Monitor the effectiveness of existing health, welfare, and wellness plans and employee recognition programs, recommending changes which provide value to associates, are within or below budget, and consistent with benefit trends and organizational objectives.

+ Direct the preparation and timely distribution of various plan documents that govern the operation of our health and welfare benefit plans.

+ Oversee 401(k) plan and pension plans including annual audit; compiles and reports census data for the annual non-discrimination testing.

+ Support benefits administration processes, including partnership with third-party vendors as needed.

+ Research and resolve complex benefit issues using multiple systems, tools, and resources.

Ultimately, this position will manage a team and have overall responsibility for leading all components of each plan; plan design, regulatory changes, proposing changes/new programs to senior management, vendor management, and overall administration. We need you to have:

+ BA/BS in communications or related field.

+ 10+ years of human resources data analysis or benefits administration experience.

+ Ability to interact and present to Senior Leadership.

+ Proficient in MS Office.

+ Analytical skills to interpret statistics and data, and identify relationships, trends, and anomalies.

+ Advanced spreadsheet expertise (Excel) to design & prepare spreadsheets and analyze data.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.

+ Proven attention to detail.

+ Experience working with confidential information.

+ Effective verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.

+ Excellent project management skills to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities.

+ Ability to present information to associates at all levels of the organization.

+ Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.

+ Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Icing on the cake:

+ MBA or other advanced degree.

+ CPG and/or manufacturing industry experience.
