The Intelligence Analyst is a key member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) Corporate Security team and the Risk Intelligence program. The Corporate Security organization is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program that facilitates the protection of the company’s global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms. The Intelligence Analyst, Risk Intelligence will report to the Director, Risk & Response within Corporate Security.

The Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, triaging, and evaluating all-source intelligence to assess the physical security and geopolitical risks towards the company’s employees, assets, and/or operations in the near, medium, and long-term. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: development and support of operational and strategic risk analysis; live monitoring support for key business activities and critical, heightened security risk events; and managing workflows to support the identification, triage, and escalation of pertinent company/industry risks.

Experience working within the public or private sector – specifically managing an intelligence cycle which identifies intelligence needs for an organization and provides ongoing intelligence analysis and awareness – is solidly preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to deliver briefings during high-stress and crisis situations, is required. Substantive knowledge of industry best practices in risk intelligence is preferred. The candidate will need to build and maintain solid internal partnerships with multiple corporate stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Monitor and evaluate all-source security intelligence; employ intelligence resources to identify and assess security risks which could impact the company’s employees, assets and/or operations in the near, medium, and long term

+ Develop situation reports and routine updates to events which pose security risks to the organization

+ Provide live monitoring during key business activities and ongoing monitoring of known threats

+ Provide situational monitoring during periods of heightened risks and reporting on critical events with impact to employees, assets, and/or operations

+ Triage and escalate security incidents to appropriate stakeholders as necessary to ensure cases are addressed and closed in a timely fashion

+ Composes targeted risk assessments in support of specific business requirements, including but not limited to site security, executive protection, event security, travel security, security investigations, and specific event-driven scenarios

+ Composes a variety of different intelligence products, including PowerPoint presentations, on strategic and operational security requirements, as needed

+ Identifies and escalates intelligence requirements from business and corporate stakeholders

+ Manages workflow that determines priority, level of support, and type of engagement

+ Manages multiple issues concurrently

+ Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior leaders in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace

+ Gather buy-in from key stakeholders to establish new processes in support of the growth of the Corporate Security group

+ Evaluate existing process and develop proposals for improvements

+ Gather, compile, and present metrics to maintain KPIs

+ Other duties as assigned

+ This role requires after-hours on-call availability, including nights, weekends and holiday as needed

+ The role requires up to 15% travel

Required Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of experience working in the intelligence field, ideally in targeting or analysis, in the public or private sector

+ Ability to work after-hours on-call, including nights, weekends and holiday as needed

+ Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Superior interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

+ Ability to engage internal and external stakeholder groups through clear and concise communication

+ Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities

+ Ability to work independently with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams

+ Ability to work effectively during emergency situations

+ Knowledge of intelligence best practices and trends

+ Knowledge of and experience in intelligence tools and methodologies

+ Exceptional written communication skills; solid proficiency in MS Office products

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
