Pay Rate:

- Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (additional $1.00/hour for 2nd & 3rd shifts)

- Additional Notes: Eligible returners receive an additional $0.50 per hour.

What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Technician? You’ll be:

- Reviewing SOPs and WIs for packaging seed corn

- Assisting the packaging shift operator with setup and preparation

- Checking equipment operation and safety devices

- Communicating with warehouse personnel regarding storage of packaged seed

- Verifying labels, tags, and prints against SOPs or WIs

- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the packaging area

- Assisting with other tasks and issues as needed

- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs during the off-season

- Cross-training in all functional areas as directed

- Performing additional duties as assigned by plant management

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

- Have PC knowledge or are willing to learn

- Possess strong communication skills with various plant personnel

- Have organizational and time management skills

- Are able to train others in packaging, forklift, and safety procedures

- Have inventory SAP experience and a manufacturing background (preferred)

- Are capable of lifting up to 75 pounds

- Are willing to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays during peak seasons

- Are flexible to work shift work, including potential 12-hour days and nights

- Can work independently without constant supervision

- Are comfortable working in conditions that may involve elevated heat, cold, and dust
