Essential Functions:
+ Manage projects and create industry/client submittals.
+ 3D model and 2D drawing creation.
+ Perform finite element analysis and have a good understanding of stress/strain analysis.
+ Manage lean manufacturing initiatives.
+ Maintain customer correspondence including approvals, changes, agreements and transmittals.
+ Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models.
+ Other engineering/manufacturing related tasks as deemed appropriate by management.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
+ 5 years relevant engineering experience.
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
+ Must have the ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components.
+ Must have and demonstrate attention to detail.
+ Must have strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
+ Must have a demonstrated ability to be a team player.
Preferred Experience and Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in design, fabrication, installation, and/or maintenance of industrial equipment.
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, or similar.
+ Proficiency in ANSYS FEA design software or similar.
+ Experience in the generation of installation, operation, and maintenance instruction manuals.
+ Casting process knowledge.
+ Freight Rail or heavy industry experience.
