The Director of Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of sourcing and procurement at Zebra. This role has direct responsibility for the policy, process and tools to purchase goods and services that are necessary for a business to run it’s day-to-day operations. Categories include supplies, software, facilities, professional services, travel and expenses, and more. This leader will support all departments within the organization and ensure that employees have the tools they need to be effective. The Director will establish a strategic, disciplined, and integrated procurement function that facilitates procure to pay and drives new and existing vendor/supplier partnerships. Responsible for establishing appropriate vendor performance metrics, and the facilitation of vendor performance evaluation. Participates in the budgeting process for goods and services to maximize value to the organization while reducing cost. Participates in the development of standards for contracts to ensure they align with Zebra legal strategies and facilitates a Request for Proposal process for complex or high-value items. The Director builds and maintains relationships with key business functions and must be skilled at influencing and change management at all levels of the organization while operating in alignment with Zebra’s values. Ideal candidate will work hybrid style out of our Lincolnshire, IL offices—- would be open to hybrid style from our Holtsville, NY office as secondary choice(Hybrid is 3 days on site- and 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

+ Lead the development and execution of sustainable, high-impact sourcing initiatives that reduce cost to the organization

+ Establish and manage appropriate, meaningful strategic supplier relationships

+ Act as key partner to business stakeholders and collaborate to meet functional and company objectives

+ Build and develop a team of high-performing procurement incumbents (including exempt, management and professional level roles)

+ Utilize analytics, category strategies, pricing and deal strategy to cultivate an environment focused sourcing and procurement within the organization

+ Design organizational change management processes and policies around sourcing and supplier processes

+ Define and implement standard contract development and negotiation processes and a robust supplier review program

+ Standardize procurement processes across the organization in support of reducing costs and improving supplier performance

+ Ensure ongoing awareness of market trends for major categories and proactively adapt procurement strategy

+ Leverage various analytical techniques and tools to conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis that explain current and past activity, expected trends, and potential effect of change. Present and support findings and recommendations to various management levels within the organization

+ Direct efforts to maximize profitability by supporting the Category Management processes

+ Influence senior business leaders to determine impact of changes to the Category Management

+ Help suppliers with Category Management processes and to resolve issues related to Category Management setup and/or discrepancies

+ Champion continuous and measurable improvement to the company’s Category Management/vendor return processes

+ Serve as the senior subject matter expert, developing and presenting recommendations from accurate indirect procurement assessments and/or analysis

+ Gather and analyze competitive activity to understand best practices and initiate changes based on findings

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ Minimum 15 years of Indirect Global Procurement experience with a minimum of 5 years’ people management/leadership/ supervisory experience. Demonstrated success and increasing scope/responsibilities within the area of sourcing and procurement

+ Significant experience with strategic sourcing processes and category management

+ Demonstrated history of successfully leading transformational initiatives

+ Proven negotiation skills

+ Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and work cross-functionally

+ Experience leading people and creating a high-performance, high-accountability culture (minimum 5 years preferred)

+ Experience with strategy development, process design, project delivery and sourcing

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

+ Strong analytical skills

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities

+ Strong project and time management skills

+ Proficient in MS Office
