Job Title: Batch Mixer/$20+

Job Description

As a Batch Mixer, you will attend daily safety meetings, receive batch sheets, and formulate chemicals. Your daily tasks will include weighing out raw materials, handling liquids and powders out of drums, totes, and bags, and pouring and placing materials into reactors. You will be responsible for checking gauges and controls, following all SOPs, and keeping detailed records. You will be working with batches up to 4000 gallons and monitoring running machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines. In case of any issues, you are expected to notify maintenance immediately. Your role will also involve performing housekeeping duties when machines are running or have finished running batches for the day. This includes tasks such as sweeping and cleaning. You will need to communicate batch records for the day with the next shift and supervisors. You will work side by side with a helper and ensure they understand basic job duties, safety, etc. Initially, you will start out performing labor tasks and gradually become fully acclimated to formulating and batch mixing role. You must be flexible in helping out with packaging, staging, and preparing orders. You will receive full training from supervisors for your role.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Alsip, Illinois.

Work Environment

You can choose to work in either of our two facilities – Alsip or Chicago Heights. The Alsip facility is modern, very clean, temperature controlled, and well-organized. The safety of our employees is our biggest focus. The workforce is smaller with about 10-15 people on the first shift and about half on the second. The Chicago Heights facility is bigger with more lines and production. It is not as new or clean as the Alsip location, but it is still in good shape and temperature controlled. The workforce is bigger, housing a few hundred people across shifts. It can be chaotic at times due to the amount of work and people. Both locations are safe as the chemicals used are not harmful. provides excellent employee benefits. The operations are relatively the same at both sites. We manufacture the products, bottle them, stage them, and ship them out. Alsip does more customized orders and pallets, while Chicago Heights handles more continuous batches and repetitive client orders
