Overview
GCG is currently seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join our collaborative, results-driven accounting team !
As the Cash Applications Specialist, you will leverage a keen attention to detail to manage and processhigh volume transactions by posting incoming payments via check, ACH, Wire transfer, and credit card to customer accounts. You will also apply yourstrong accounting research skills to ensure customer payment information is documented accurately and invoice discrepancies are identified and logged as needed.

This position offers a Hybrid work arrangement (2 to 3 days per week) after training is completed and will report into our Chicago, IL office.
Location: 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave Chicago, IL
What you’ll do
+ Perform high volume Cash Applications within several enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
+ Review daily billings and send customer invoices
+ Process invoice adjustments and apply credits
+ Reconcile accounts to resolve customer deductions or payments on account
+ Work with the Credit Team for any communications regarding payment issues
What you’ll bring
+ Associates degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred; equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience
+ 5+ years of experience working in accounts receivable in small and large industrial commercial business
+ Experience working with the Accounts Receivable department to process high volume transactions
+ Experience working in Oracle, P21, Rubicon, or comparable ERP system preferred
+ Strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
+ Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
+ Willing and able to embrace and adapt to change
