Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator and take charge of operating high-speed printing press machines in our new state-of-the-art facility. This role requires setting up and running technical machinery with a focus on efficiency to minimize downtime and setup times. You will ensure the production of quality products, limit scrap waste, maintain safety protocols, and follow thorough reporting processes. In-depth cleaning and understanding of the mechanical functionality of machines are also key responsibilities.

Hard Skills

+ Experience with high-speed machinery

+ Ability to read and understand production orders

+ Knowledge of basic corrugated terminology

+ Proficiency in lock out/tag out procedures

Soft Skills

+ Sense of urgency

+ Attention to detail

+ Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.

Work Environment

Our new 550,000 square foot facility, operational since 2021, is equipped with over $30 million worth of state-of-the-art technology. It features 26 dock doors and is designed for optimal workflow, although not climate-controlled. Safety gear such as steel toes, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection is mandatory. The facility is spacious, encouraging physical mobility.
