Job Summary

As Program Manager, you will function as team leader developing strategy and managing enterprise wise IT programs and their projects.

Job Description

We are looking for a Program Manager . This position will be full-time and remote contract opportunity.

What You’ll Do

+ Managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects

+ Developing program strategy

+ Supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans

+ Ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of Commerce

+ Communicating with IT leadership, Commerce leadership, and IT Business to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes

+ Delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements

+ Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers

+ Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of Commerce

+ Coordinating communication with all areas of Commerce that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed

+ Coordinating status reports and stability of project area work efforts

What You’ll Need

Required

+ Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or other related field/equivalent work experience

+ A minimum of ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience

+ A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience

+ A minimum of five (5) years in managing projects

+ A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IT and project management as it pertains to program areas such as reemployment services and/or community development or equivalent governmental program

+ Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools

+ A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Physical Demands

+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
