About the Role :

The IT Technical Support Specialist supports Windstream’s internal customers. This support takes place primarily remote. Additionally, the IT Technical Support Specialist supports software installations, removal, configuration, and connectivity. The ideal candidate will be able to function successfully in an up-tempo environment that requires the ability to address complex problems that will involve hardware, software, and network issues. This is a customer-facing position and demands outstanding customer service and professionalism.

What You’ll Do :

+ Resolve internal Windstream customer computerissues-

+ Software installations/Removal

+ Configuration

+ Connectivity

+ General IT related issues

+ Other

+ Resolve tickets in a timely fashion by adhering to departments SLA.

+ Work from IT ticketing system independently as assigned.

+ Ability to work in a small group environment.

+ Document steps taken for resolutions.

+ Engaging other Windstream teams when necessary to resolve issues.

+ Proactively identifying problems and finding resolutions.

+ Communicating complex technical issues to non-technical customers.

+ Attention to detail & organizational skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Provide outstanding customer service.

+ Project participation, overtime, and travel as required.

+ Valid driver’s license required.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Do You Have:

+ Associates degree in technical field

+ 5 years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and directly related technical experience required.

+ Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
