Primary Job Function:

Incumbent manages a wide variety of tasks that support Government Pricing and related financial reporting and planning. Key responsibilities will include Government Price calculations (AMP, BP, 340B, NFAMP/FSS) as well as financial modeling for the Imbruvica line of business – providing rate impact from changes in Price Action, Best Price, and other regulatory changes. Incumbent will support financial initiatives through analysis for Imbruvica. Additionally, Incumbent will provide routine and ad hoc financial analysis. Must analyze and respond to legislative activities (i.e. Health Care Reform) as required. The incumbent will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to foster and develop solid internal and external cross-functional relationships (i.e. legal, GTN, Pricing personnel, etc.). Adherence to OEC policies and procedures, including periodic training modules and certifications will be required.

Core Job Responsibilities:

+ Develop knowledge of Government Pricing system to ensure accurate data are pulled into financial models, perform data mining, and cross-reference multiple data sources. Must be able to execute advanced Excel formulas across various files and spreadsheets.

+ Perform ad-hoc analysis with ability to create models to address regulatory changes outlining Medicaid/340B/Federal/Medicare impact.

+ Manage all Desktop Procedures (DTPs) related to specific areas of responsibility.

+ Submit pricing data into government web portals as well as distributing pricing information to impacted stakeholders.

+ Perform system activities including creating and publishing Government Price workbooks and updating Government Pricelists in Model N.

+ Update and analyze Medicaid and Federal financial models for Plan/LRP cycles for Imbruvica products, present and explain variances to management, and submit final government rates to GTN Team.

+ Update and analyze Plan/LRP cycle requests based upon assumption changes provided by Finance Team. Address and explain Government Pricing methodology and logic from a business perspective and engage in key discussions on how it impacts our business.

+ Provide periodic LBE (actual vs forecast) updates for Medicaid, 340B, and FSS rates. Present and explain trending topics and business insights to management and key stakeholders.

Position Accountability and Scope:

Incumbent should be knowledgeable in government pricing programs and the associated calculations, as well as other pricing and contracting functions, including rebate and chargeback operations. Position will require a high degree of problem solving and analytical skill sets to accomplish tasks. The incumbent is an experienced individual contributor and is expected to assume full responsibility and accountability for required responsibilities and be able to handle with only minimal supervision and technical guidance. The incumbent must be able to act independently and demonstrate sound business judgment within the scope of defined guidelines. This position will report to the Associate Director, Public Payer Markets.

Required:

Five or more years’ experience in financial/analytical roles in positions of increasing responsibility is required, preferably in government pricing. Ideally the candidate should already possess knowledge of government pharmaceutical pricing and contracting, including working knowledge of regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (i.e. Medicaid Law, Veterans Healthcare Act, Medicaid and Medicare Fraud & Abuse statutes, Anti-Trust Laws, and the AbbVie Corporate Compliance Program), or the ability to quickly learn such regulations and standards. Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite programs, and proficiency with Model N, SAP, and other related systems and interfaces is highly desirable.
