Job Description

As a Systems Administrator the resource leads help desk operations by providing basic and Teir II customer support. Responsible for the administration of and reporting from the company’s ticket system. Determines when to escalate tickets to outside consultants and works with consultants to maintain computers systems, network integrity, and the company’s cybersecurity posture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

+ Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues; coordinates with other teams and leaders to resolve issues that span departmental boundaries.

+ Manages help desk system; develops metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for reporting to leadership.

+ Researches questions using available information resources and utilizes consultant support when appropriate.

+ Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures for the help desk team.

+ Develops and manages training material for distribution and use within Hope University.

+ Manages information security awareness program by overseeing employee education and assessment systems.

+ Administers disaster recovery plans to ensure that data is backed up and can be restored in case of failure.

+ Oversees EDR and MDR systems and works with consultants when necessary to mitigate security vulnerabilities in computer systems.

+ Develops proficiency in Microsoft ECM.

+ Maintains Jamf and develops policies consistent with company and end-user needs.

+ Assists with setup and wiring of new facilities.

+ Upgrades hardware and cleans up computers.

+ Comfortable with working in various indoor environments which may include close physical interactions or proximity to others; some requirements to drive or travel to ancillary site locations. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 25 pounds at a time.

Must have the following experience:

+ Demonstrated knowledge of WAN, LAN, and MS Office software applications.

+ Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels with individuals internally at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts.

+ Proven capability to assess, prioritize, and evaluate potential solutions to problems by asking relevant questions, identifying root causes, and gathering facts.

+ Ability to actively listen and understand an employee’s message, comprehend the information and respond thoughtfully.

+ Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others, as well as influence Hope divisions to achieve common goals, and implement organizational strategies and change.

+ Drive and desire to gain knowledge and develop skills to improve work performance.

+ Comfort in adapting and changing in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected challenges.

+ Proven ability to build solid relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists by fostering teamwork, partnership and collaboration in a virtual or face-to-face environment.

+ Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

+ Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
