Leads cloud feature deployment with other teams and products, including packaging, versioning, testing, API work, and feature development work. Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybridcloud, and/or onprem deployment models. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including eBPF, AI/ML, cloud computing, data services (ingestion, database, analytics), and opensource development projects.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9+ years of experience OR a Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience OR a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ year of experience in:

+ 2+ years’ experience programming experience with a low-level language: E.g., C or C++ 5+ years’ experience with Linux and Cloud computing .

+ 2+ years’ programming experience with a scripting language: E.g., Shell (ksh93 or beyond), Perl, or Python.

+ experience leading software deployment, versioning, and testing, at a large site.

+ some familiarity with modern performance monitoring solutions (example only: Prometheus).

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Operating systems experience: work on any Linux distro.

+ eBPF programming experience using a core technology (kernel BPF, bcc, bpftrace, or libbpf).

+ AI experience (e.g., using Intel oneDNN).

+ Some performance engineering experience.

+ Some knowledge of x86 assembly.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, Washington DC, California: $203,833.00-$325,999.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
