The Associate Director of Operations Quality for Rockford Plant 6 leads a diverse team of hourly and salaried Quality team members. The Associate Director provides strategic leadership and direction to all levels within the site and ensures a healthy Quality Management system and a robust product quality signature. This position leads planning, direction, and control of all product inspections and the organization’s overall Quality system health, including the Quality Clinic.
What You Will Do
+ Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
+ Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
+ Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
+ Manages teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.
+ Manages teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
+ Develops and implements operations quality plans and procedures.
+ Manages and maintains department budget requirements.
+ Champion operations site AQPD/ZDP initiatives.
+ Participates in and supports site compliance (FAA, AS9100D) and customer Audits.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ?
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Knowledge of APQP processes is preferred.
+ CQE certification is preferred.
