The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Benefits Technology Consultant to our Group Protection InsurTech team, with the opportunity to work remotely. As a Consultant, Benefits Technology focused on digital transformation, you would play a critical role working with the Senior Product Manager in developing & maintaining the IT roadmap, advocating for digital transformation to enhance the customer and broker experience with Lincoln and our strategic 3rd party InsurTech partners. As Lincoln grows its forward thinking, integrated capabilities to the market we are looking for a self-driven team member who is excited to drive strategic change and outline the path forward to bring real-time API integrations and capabilities with strategic 3rd party platforms to the market. This is an opportunity to leverage your strategic, analytical, agile, project management, and creative skills as part of a high-performing team.

What you’ll be doing

+ Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions

+ Assists in management of product roadmaps for product offering(s), integrating the product strategy, inclusive of timelines, risks, and dependencies (includes writing the EPICs)

+ Supports the Senior Product manager in resolving complex issues in order to avoid delays while prioritizing and sequencing product backlog according to business value

+ Balances stakeholder priorities and development team(s) capacity in order to aid in achievable roadmap and delivery targets

+ Assists in maintaining clearly documented requirements and articulates those requirements as needed, including formal communication and presentation for business stakeholders

+ Collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders and management on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality, risk of assigned projects and develops and executes mitigation plans as needed

+ Assists in the Development and communication of key metrics to determine business value generation that provide management and key business stakeholders with quantifiable gauges of the delivery of business results to ensure deliverables, ROI, and key objectives are met

+ Creates supporting documentation such as process maps, customer journey maps and other visuals to articulate the vision and support the efforts underway

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

+ 3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in any of the following: product management, product ownership, 3rd party integrations and/or or product development directly aligned to the responsibilities

+ Solid understanding of Group Benefits and/or experience in one or more products (STD, LTD, Life, FMLA, etc)

+ Experience partnering cross- departments on projects with operational organizations as well as IT

+ 4 Year/bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

+ Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills; ability to influence/work with people across multiple disciplines and diverse teams to achieve results

+ Strong analytical, strategic, problem solving, and organizational skills

+ Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to establish credibility with senior audiences

+ Knowledge of industry best practices and business operations

+ Flexibility to perform in lead or support roles, depending on project

Nice-to-haves:

+ Strong excel and PowerPoint skills.

+ Experience in one of more of the following: implementation, installation, operations, EDI, or business analytics

+ Change management experience

+ Customer experience and/or marketing experience

+ Experience integrating with external HCM or Benefit Admin Platforms (i.e. Workday, ADP etc..)

+ Working Agile experience

+ Foundational understanding of API’s and how they function

The pay range for this position is $67,000 – $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
