ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a passionate and skilled ICU RN to join our team at Amergis Healthcare Staffing. As an ICU nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. + Active nursing license in Illinois

+ Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute critical care or ICU settings

+ BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association

+ Covid-19 vaccine

+ Experience with Cerner, preferred

+ Required Skills: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Arterial Line Management, Central Lines, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips, BiPAP/CPAP, Ventilated Patients & Management, Interpretation of ABG’s, Suctioning, Isolation Precautions

+ Closely monitor patients’ vital signs, assess their condition, and respond promptly to any changes. Responsible for recognizing signs of deterioration and initiating appropriate interventions.

+ Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians. This includes titrating medications based on patient response and maintaining accurate records.

+ ICU nurses work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for providing comprehensive care.

+ Care for patients on mechanical ventilation. You’ll adjust ventilator settings, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure patients receive optimal respiratory support.

+ Maintain infection control practices
