Will serve as an Interim Travel Nursing leader with the potential to serve various Ascension hospitals.

Responsibilities

Direct, plan, admister, monitor and evaluate the delivery of imaging services to patients.

+ Recruit, interview, hire and evaluate staff within assigned department.

+ Prepares departmental budgets and ensures that departments operate within allocated funds.

+ Determines and justifies needs for equipment purchases, adheres to policies regarding purchases, monitors installations, and oversees proper functionality.

+ Develops, implements, and monitors plans for patient care services in assigned departments, which may include oversight of non-imaging or radiation oncology.

+ Serves as a liaison between the radiologists, radiology residents, chairperson, radiology staff and other department leaders.

+ Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies.

+ Maintain department facilities and equipment in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff. Evaulate and justify equipment and supply needs and purchases, insure maintenance schedules with Bio-Med.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

One or more of the following:

+ Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’sdegree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences

Preferred Credential(s):

+ BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Medical Training specializing in Radiology Administration.

+ Masters degree preferred
