Responsibilities
Direct, coordinate and implement activities to identify, apply for, and manage public/private sector grant opportunities.
+ Identify opportunities for grant funding from nonprofit, local and federal sources.
+ Coordinate the development and submission of proposals for grants, and lead or facilitate negotiations, as needed.
+ Provide oversight for grant-funded projects, ensuring that milestones ad reporting requirements are met.
+ Manage the tracking and distribution of grant funds, review financial and progress reports and ensure their timely submission to the funding source.
+ Create grant proposals and award applications through program design development, need assessment and research, budget analysis and justifications, logic models, work plans, outcome metrics, sustainability measures and deliverable schedules.
Requirements
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experiencerequired, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’sdegree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those yearsbeing in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
+ Master’s Degree in Communications, English, Marketing or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
+ 5-7 years professional writing experience, including at least 3 years’ experience in government grant writing.
+ Demonstrated experience in strategies and securing government grants
+ Demonstrated ability to think strategically to identify, cultivate and manage foundation relationships.
