Job Description

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identify and drive future strategic direction:

+ Develop, expand and maintain Market Maps to understand relevant industries and competitors

+ Conduct Voice of the Customer (VOC) to fully understand customer problems to be solved, the value chain, and profit pools for our existing markets and potential new markets to help determine areas for expansion, with a bias towards building recurring revenue business opportunities

+ Identify, analyze and recommend strategic initiatives to support the strategic direction

+ Identify opportunities to take a new view on strategies and assist in developing, conducting and managing those new strategies

+ Build business and underlying financial plans for growth investments

+ Propose results of plans to senior management team and obtain buy-in

Cultivation and acquisition:

+ Identify and drive synergies in the Alternative Fuels Platform businesses for growth by identifying potential markets, new product areas, new solutions and areas, etc.

+ Manage acquisition and growth partnership funnel

+ Successfully cultivate targets, meet with all levels of target companies and articulate Vontier’s values, strategy and vision

+ Develop the strategic rationale for an acquisition or business partnership

+ Build consensus both within the (Platform) Team, Vontier leadership (including corporate) and at the target company for an acquisition or substantial business partnership

+ Own and “project manage” acquisitions including due diligence and post-merger integration

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE

+ Revenue growth driven by new markets, products, solutions etc.

+ Value of opportunities in pipeline and value of opportunities realized

+ Quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of project execution. This includes research and analysis detail/depth/rigor/thoroughness, creativity of insight/synthesis, delivery/presentation of conclusions, adherence to time/schedule commitments, and adherence to budget

The base compensation range for this position is $164K to $200K per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Analyze complicated issues and boil down to the key points, develop action plans and bring to a successful conclusion

+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills

+ Strong leadership & mentoring skills

+ Self-starter, proven team player capable of prioritizing own work and/or problems simultaneously; able to work in a complex and ambiguous environment that changes quickly

+ Effective in a fast-paced environment

+ Structured, organized individual who is capable of successfully handling multiple tasks and quickly grasp complicated situations

+ Maturity and executive presence, perceived as equal counterpart with all levels of an organization

+ Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required

+ Domestic and international travel required – typically 30% – 60%

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

+ BS or BA Degree required; MBA or JD Degree preferred

+ Proven track record of strategic thinking in a top management consulting company and/or a progressive multi-national company (3 years or more), with alternative fuels/energy experience preferred
