An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated individual passionate about the North American property industry. The role of Construction Supervisor is hands-on and pivotal within the Property Group team, tasked with managing daily operations on construction sites and ensuring compliance with all construction standards and regulations. The Construction Supervisor is the key communicator among diverse stakeholders such as construction firms, site workers, project managers, external contractors, agents, brokers, and support staff both within and outside the organization, as well as government municipalities. This role is instrumental in constructing optimal facilities, thereby fostering the success and expansion of the company's property division. The projects span new industrial buildings tailored to specific needs and upgrades and renovations of existing properties. This role will involve travel around the USA.

Responsibilities:
    • Manage the project schedule (from pre-design to construction to project closeout) and identifying areas for acceleration along with understanding jurisdictional plan review durations; construction costs; any other costs, timelines, and resource implications.
    • Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards on-site and reporting any concerns or violations immediately.
    • Obtain and document all specifics regarding projects from site selection and transaction management. Research and compile all available information for site.
    • Ability in the planning and design, and project management / control of new and the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
    • Ability to visit actively owned/operated sites and potential sites.
    • Makes sketches to detail construction work needing to be accomplished.
    • Inspect property to determine work needed to maintain building to code and desired standards.
    • Knowledge of building codes and electrical, or plumbing, or mechanical and related codes.
    • Proficient at creating a conceptual construction schedule using MS Project.
    • Prepare monthly reports as directed to ensure all construction activities are understood by team and responsibilities are outlined with necessary actions and timelines for completion.
    • Provide weekly construction updates to the DPG team regarding all relevant property activities and their according status.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, including roles that demonstrate project management skills
    • Skilled Construction trade qualification in one of the following; plumbing, electrical carpentry or similar
    • OSHA safety certifications
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and legal regulations
    • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and delegate where necessary
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with various stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies
