Edelman is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our U.S. Corporate Reputation team, specializing in the development and execution of communications strategies that promote and protect the brands we represent. While there's no "typical" day in this role, we are looking for a team member who can roll with the punches and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this role requires someone who is a self-starter, invigorated by challenges, complex subject matter, and thinking creatively on behalf of brands and their executives.

We're seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to push our thinking, share fresh, innovative ideas and elevate the quality of counsel we deliver for our clients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate reputation management, account management, earned media strategy and execution, in addition to being a skilled writer and thoughtful storyteller. Experience with executive positioning, multi-stakeholder communications and sustainability are a definite plus.

As a member of the Corporate Reputation team, this candidate will also serve as a mentor to junior staff and interns, with an opportunity to collaborate across regions.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, addressing issues thoughtfully and effectively.
    • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion by troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline adherence.
    • Contribute to strategic earned media and newsroom planning on a regular basis and execute against those plans.
    • Monitor the news landscape daily, develop proactive and reactive pitches, conduct planned and proactive outreach, develop relationships with key U.S. media, etc.
    • Write in multiple voices and produce clear, persuasive, content, including messaging, media pitches, conference submissions, award nominations and more.
    • Support the development of strategic communications roadmaps and content plans at quarterly and annual intervals.
    • Delegate to junior staff and help motivate and coach team members; manage up to senior staff and consistently help to drive efficiency across accounts and workstreams.
    • Coordinate with experts across disciplines (e.g., earned media, paid media, design, crisis) in support of client projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Communications, Marketing and/or related fields
    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience



Preferred Qualifications:

    • Corporate/B2B communications and executive visibility experience, either in an agency or in-house setting
    • Strong organizational, time/project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple deadlines
