Position Overview

Responsible for supervising the overall execution of delivering, uncrating, assembling and setting in place of large foodservice equipment. The Project Manager works independently with warehouse management to schedule deliveries of large equipment to our customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables and manage with construction trades.
  • Review project to determine time frames for deliveries and pre check process.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and with client.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope. (Change Orders)
  • Identify potential issues and devise contingency plans to adjust plans.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations to protect PJP P/L.
  • Provide on-site supervision of all equipment placements with GC and client.
  • Manage product staging and pre-check process for E/S.
  • Manage Delivery Calendar with internal warehouse operations and Installation team for successful and timely delivery and execution.
  • Manage the Installation team day to day overseeing day to day operations and manage labor for maximum efficiency.
  • Work with all Construction Trades on job site.
  • Photograph damage and completed projects for future protection.
  • Report damage to manufacturer through the purchasing staff.
  • Attend project meetings as required and set meetings with clients.
  • Work with customer for change orders and protect PJP against negative cost impact.
  • Work with new project managers to teach PJP philosophy and approach to clients.
  • Complete field visits with the customer of the equipment and installation for compliance with the contract.
  • Walk through with the customers’ project manager to identify punch list items.
  • Coordinate and execute corrective action required to address all punch list items.
  • Travel to project site(s), as required.
  • Manage budgeted time and cost for installation and delivery with Operations
  • Other Duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years) required preferably in warehouse operations and warehouse management.
  • Minimum five (5) years project management experience required.
  • Intermediate proficiency utilizing MS Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to gather and assess multiple points for data required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Travel is required; some overnight travel required.
