Endeavor Health, NorthShore, the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks a fellowship-trained neuroradiologist to join our 8 member Neuroradiology Section.
We are located in the highly desirable north suburbs of Chicago, known for excellent public and private schools and beautiful tree-lined neighborhoods, some of which border Lake Michigan, with easy access to downtown Chicago.
The Endeavor Health NorthShore Radiology Department, part of the Endeavor Health Medical Group, consists of 50+ subspecialized Radiologists, covering four hospitals: Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Highland Park Hospital and Skokie Hospital. The NorthShore hospital group is the legacy component of the larger Endeavor Health network that was formed by the merger of NorthShore University HealthSystem with Edward-Elmhurst Health, Northwest Community Healthcare and Swedish Hospital.
Our neuroradiologists practice 100 percent neuroradiology. Out Intelerad PACS system integrates seamlessly with the Epic electronic medical record and Powerscribe voice recognition dictation system. We have high-speed home workstations, allowing our evening, weekend and holiday work, and many of our daytime shifts, to be done from home.
Overnight coverage is provided seven days a week by our in-house Emergency Radiology section, supplemented in the early morning by a teleradiology group.
The successful candidate will have experience and depth in advanced brain, neurovascular, spine, head & neck and pediatric neuroimaging. Expertise in advanced imaging is preferred. Lumbar puncture and myelography skills are required. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
Fellows and Residents from the University of Chicago rotate through Evanston Hospital, one of the four hospitals we cover. Teaching responsibilities are integral to the position.
