Learning and Development ManagerLocation: St. Paul, MN (U.S.A.), Costa Rica, U.K., or Portugal

The Learning and Development Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Learning and Development and has primary responsibility for development of the global learning programs, design, development, and management of learning and development programs, processes and resources. The role is global in scope and customer focused. Incumbent will interact with business leaders and Human Resource partners across business units and throughout the company.

There are no direct reports to this position.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Consults with business leaders and other key stakeholders to understand business strategy and goals and identify appropriate learning and development solutions. Creates learning and development programs for H.B. Fuller.
Designs, develops and delivers/implements custom learning programs that are aligned with business strategy
Prepares program communication plans and associated communications; distributes to constituent groups
Evaluates enabling technology options (including LMS) and recommends cost effective, value added solutions that integrate with Human Capital Management and other systems
Partners with external consultants to design and deliver high impact programs to various constituent groups
Manages all vendor/consulting relationships including preparation of RFP, negotiation of contracts (in partnership with Sourcing and Law departments), creating service level agreements and acting on behalf of HBF as company liaison and representative
Develops program metrics; gathers, analyzes and summarizes data and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure high impact results
Manages and facilitates key learning programs

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Education or Instructional Design
Minimum five years' experience in instructional design/development
Strong facilitation experience
Knowledge of adult learning theory and application in a business environment
Demonstrated ability to satisfy the needs of an audience with a wide range of management/leadership experience
Experience with a variety of evaluation techniques and methodologies
Familiarity with a variety of training mediums, i.e. web-based, web cast, classroom, reading and video (i.e. Articulate StoryLine, Intrepid)
Proficient in English
Experience with gap analysis and needs assessment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
Exceptional service orientation
Demonstrated capacity to influence outcomes with/through others
Self starter, experience working independently
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and goals
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively across the organization
Travel required is domestic and internationally (2 to 3 times per year)

Preferred Requirements:
MA, in Business, Education or Instructional Design
Previous business and manufacturing experience
Physical Environment:* Work is performed in an office environment (at home or on location) and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.* Repetitive motion typing with substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.* Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing & analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer and extensive reading.
