The Senior Curriculum Coordinator acts as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for curriculum maintenance for the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI). This role involves advising internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with ICCB curriculum rules, and participating in college committees. The Senior Curriculum Coordinator oversees the ICCB course articulation process, supports IAI course review and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) substantive change process, and delivers training sessions to faculty and staff on curriculum management systems. Additionally, the role facilitates the internal and external curriculum approval processes, coordinates the annual catalog, manages the scheduling process, and collaborates with various departments to maintain instructional facilities data and records. This Coordinator also manages the Curriculum Council website, conducts audits and reports related to curriculum. The Senior Curriculum Coordinator report to the Dean for Learning Outcomes, Curriculum and Program Development.

Act as the point of contact and serve as the primary liaison and subject matter expert regarding curriculum maintenance for Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI). Collaboratively advise internal stakeholders and ensure course outlines comply with rules and policies, and actively participate in college committees and task forces as appropriate.

Remain current in understanding and adhering to ICCB curriculum rules and procedures and interact with relevant ICCB staff members in the development and submission of curriculum and articulation documents.

Oversee the ICCB course articulation process and maintenance of institutional articulation records; coordinate IAI course review with academic divisions and support the HLC substantive change process.

Oversee, support and deliver training sessions to faculty and staff in the use of curriculum management systems.

Facilitate the internal (Curriculum Council) and external (ICCB) curriculum approval process, including preparation of Curriculum Council materials; submission of curriculum documents to ICCB; maintenance of all current and historical curriculum records; development of curriculum procedures; and assist in training staff, faculty, and administrators in curriculum processes.
Coordinate and proof the annual catalog with appropriate college departments.

Manage all aspects of the scheduling process, including entry and maintenance of the course master file; entry and updates of prerequisites; review of section entries and ongoing section data updates; assignment of classrooms.

Complete department testing for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database (Banner) and facilities systems upgrades/patches; facilitate department programming requests with Information Technology (IT).

Collaborate with relevant college staff and departments in the development and maintenance of data and records related to the instructional facilities.

Maintain curriculum council website.

Develop annual and other periodic audits and reports related to curriculum for internal
and external stakeholders.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

At least four years of progressive experience in education, preferably in higher education. Relevant experience includes teaching, managing curriculum records and reporting activities, utilizing educational software, and applying local and state educational requirements.

Project management or independent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of student learning outcomes assessment.

Computer software and applications skills.

Self-Directed with excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills

Ability to perform work assignments in a flexible, adaptable manner.

Ability to develop and maintain effective and constructive relationships with all stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
