Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Give Kids A Smile Program position is responsible for managing important aspects of planning for and executing the activities concerning the ADA Foundation's Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) Program, as well as related efforts for other oral health access to care initiatives working towards the same goal. This includes providing strategic and administrative support and coordination for the ADA GKAS National Advisory Committee/consultants, managing the GKAS enrollment and data collection processes, measuring GKAS program impact, providing technical assistance to hundreds of volunteers across the country and building ongoing relationships with GKAS Ambassadors and sponsors. These efforts help position the ADA as the national leader/champion of improving oral health care for the underserved through overseeing the sustainability, enhancement and expansion of Give Kids A Smile. This position is in direct alignment with the ADA's mission to help dentists succeed and support the advancement of the health of the public.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree
5 years minimum experience in customer service and administrative responsibilities with a wide variety of audiences, including planning and organizing events and/or programs, or 9 years in lieu of a degree.
Experience in formulating oral and written information or materials
Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational, project coordination and multi-tasking skills
Ability to bring new creative ideas to the table
Ability to pivot, problem solve and demonstrate leadership skills
Be a team player and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Travel required for site visits and travel to vendor locations; possible travel to annual meeting
Nice to Have:
Academic training and/or experience in business administration
Basic knowledge of terminology and issues related to dental or medical fields
Corporate or association experience
Previous experience in web and database management and technical support
