Technical Operations Manager
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Technical Operations Manager to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will oversee the Application Engineering team, ensuring pre-sales support and designing optimal electronic security and access control solutions for customers. As a Technical Operations Manager, you are a part of a dynamic sales team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

Strategic Planning and Development:
Develop and implement robust strategies for product growth and market penetration.
Conduct extensive product evaluations to ensure best practices for product selection and quoting.
Collaborate with Marketing to create materials that accelerate product understanding and utilization.
Product Management:
Act as a Product Champion for assigned product lines within the company.
Ensure key product data, including costs, volume discounts, and promotional materials, are maintained.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in electronic security technology, including DVRs, cameras, access control systems, and networking.
Financial Management:
Establish service contract pricing utilizing the service tool model.
Manage projects within budget to meet financial goals.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage the Application Engineering team.
Oversee workload distribution, project prioritization, and ensure quality output.
Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address issues, and plan future activities.
Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Pre-Sales Support:
Assist Account Executives with specifying equipment for complex projects.
Provide technical expertise during the sales process to propose the best electronic security and access control solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for potential clients.
Design and Implementation:
Oversee the design and implementation of electronic security and access control systems.
Ensure that all parts of an application function together and as intended.
Support difficult or high-profile installations on a select basis.
Technical Support:
Provide first-line technical support to field personnel, including Technicians, Installers, and Account Executives.
Ensure the team assists on-site with complex installations and troubleshooting.
Training and Development:
Develop and oversee colleague onboarding and orientation programs.
Create and maintain technical training programs that align with company goals.
Manage records of training activities and certification status.
Quality Assurance:
Review and measure performance against SLAs and KPIs to determine contract profitability and training needs.
Evaluate the quality of training and trainers, providing feedback as necessary.
