APRN Nurse Practitioner
Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full-time night shift APRN-CNP (Nurse Practitioner)
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive clinical care within the Emergency Department at UI Health within parameters of medical staff privileges for an assigned patient as determined by the scope of practice guidelines and specialty, completion of health assessments, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment. The APN will participate in the educational experiences of student and resident learners.
Demonstrated clinical expertise in adult and pediatric patients, proficient with simple procedures, and excellent communication skills are preferred. This position will be assigned to full time night shift coverage.

Qualifications:

Master's degree or Doctorate degree from accredited family nurse practitioner program (CCNE/NLNAC), Current ANCC/AANP board certified and licensed in the State of Illinois. Current American Heart Associate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Current Controlled Substance licensure required. Must meet all requirements for medical staff privileges at UI Health.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years, experience preferred in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.
