Job Overview
We have a newly created opportunity a Developer - DX Platforms to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O'Hare).
As a Developer specializing in Digital Experience (DX) Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining digital experience solutions that drive engagement, conversion, and retention across various digital channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative features, optimize user experiences, and ensure seamless integration with backend systems and third-party services.
Key Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement extensions for packaged applications within digital experience platforms to enhance functionality and meet business requirements.
Customize and extend packaged applications using configuration tools, APIs, and scripting languages to address unique business needs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to gather and analyze requirements for digital experience solutions.
Develop full-stack solutions for custom applications within digital experience platforms, including frontend and backend development.
Implement responsive and user-friendly UI/UX designs using modern web technologies and frameworks.
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of digital experience solutions.
Integrate application logging and observability features into digital experience solutions to facilitate monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Configure and manage logging frameworks, metrics collection, and error tracking tools to ensure visibility into application performance and behavior.
Integrate digital experience solutions with other systems and applications within the organization's technology ecosystem.
Document technical designs, development tasks, and system configurations for reference and future maintenance.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders on digital experience platform development and customization.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology, information science or a related field
5+ years of experience in digital experience platform development, including building extensions for packaged applications and developing custom applications.
Proven experience as a backend developer with a focus on Commerce solutions, including custom module development, integration, and optimization.
Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and other relevant server-side programming languages.
Knowledge of digital experience platforms, content management systems (CMS) and ecommerce platforms is preferred.
Familiarity with configuration tools, APIs, and scripting languages used for customizing and extending packaged applications (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
