Job Overview

The Product Manager, Undercarriage (UC), has responsibility for the lifecycle of our aftermarket UC portfolio as well as UC support programs and tooling. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product strategy, identifying market opportunities and product development initiatives, as well responsibility for revenue growth and profitability. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise and market insight as well as detailed analysis of sales, cost and opportunity.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

Product Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for the undercarriage product line, tools and program; aligning with overall company goals and market demands.
Product Support: Manage all UC parts related information and ensure accuracy and completeness of product attributes and hierarchical structure in Komatsu's PIM system.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and marketshare. Use insights to drive innovation, product development and marketing campaigns.
Product Planning and Road mapping: Create product roadmaps outlining key milestones, features, and enhancements. Prioritize initiatives based on market impact, customer feedback, and business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering for new product needs; parts operations for inventory planning and positioning; Sales for targeted opportunities and training needs; and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives and promotions.
Product Launch and Marketing Support: Work with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and sales collateral. Support product launches with effective communication and training materials.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance, market share, and customer satisfaction. Continuously monitor metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and profitability.
Customer Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for Dealer inquiries, feedback, and support related to the undercarriage product line. Build strong relationships with key customers and gather insights to inform product enhancements.
Support other strategic initiatives of the Parts Marketing department as necessary.


Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
5+ years in product management roles, preferably within the heavy equipment or automotive industry or related field.
Strong technical background with a deep understanding of undercarriage components and systems.
Demonstrated experience in product strategy development, market analysis, and product lifecycle management.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Passion for innovation and driving continuous improvement in product offerings.
