Summary:
The Hershey Company's Information Services (IS) department, partnering with The Hershey Experience (THX) serve as a catalyst for achieving the corporation's strategic objectives by leveraging insights and innovation through technology. To help meet these objectives, the Manager, Direct to Consumer (D2C) Ecommerce Solutions will be responsible for the delivery of ecommerce technology solutions leading the design, architecture, and development leveraging SalesForce Commerce Cloud and related solutions.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead the D2C Ecommerce technology platform on the IS Commercial team to meet Hershey's D2C objectives partnered with the THX business. This includes:
Responsible for overall platform architecture supporting Hershey's Ecommerce tech stack including Commerce, OMS, WMS, and supporting processes
Scope new capabilities and requirements closely partnering with business leaders
Design detailed solutions within the Ecommerce UI & backend engineering team
Work closely with cross-functional teams to lead development and implementation of solutions, and ensure compliance to Hershey's best practices
Ensure high-performance of sites by following optimal front-end architecture practices and development of code and content assets
Complete platform configuration and administration between Hershey and external partners
Design and support the integration architecture leveraging an API-based framework
Working closely with the business and IS leaders, own the technology roadmap and backlog for new requirements and enhancements
Collaborate on planning and prioritization of user stories with the business leveraging Agile methodology
Lead the ongoing operating technology support model and partners, defining the process, SLAs, metrics, and escalation model
Investigate new technologies and techniques and research ongoing industry developments
Direction of internal and external contract resources, ensuring that their work product matches the Hershey objectives and requirements and conforms to the Hershey Standards
Manage status communications with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other internal stakeholders
Minimum Experience:
7-10+ years' experience in IT and/or platform delivery leadership role, developing and implementing innovative solutions, collaborating with business partners across functions, and a strong track record of delivery
5+ years of leading Ecommerce implementations and platforms in a consumer-focused model
3+ years implementing or managing Ecommerce solutions in a Retail environment leveraging SalesForce Commerce cloud or similar packaged SaaS solutions
3+ years of experience in architecting the technical platforms and design of Ecommerce storefronts and implementations
3+ years of experience developing well-performing, cross-browser, responsive, customer-facing components on Ecommerce sites (with or without frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Ember.js).
3+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Compass/Bourbon, SASS, Zurb Foundation, Bootstrap, Less, JQuery
3+ Experience with middleware technologies such as MuleSoft and integrating to multiple environments leveraging an API-based approach
2+ years implementing or managing Ecommerce solutions in a Retail Environment connected to ERP/OMS Solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics or similar solution for the management of Merchant record, order, tax, supply chain, and fulfilment
2+ years' experience leading and directing onsite and offsite technical resources through the full software/project life cycle.
Experience performing data analysis in Excel and sql
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering against multiple priorities and multiple product lines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong business account and customer relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers, across all levels including executives
