As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Preparedness Associate . This is a full time remote position with frequent travel required to client sites.The ideal candidate should have a passion for emergency management, be a self-starter, and havethe desire to solve complex preparedness problems for our clients.Preparedness Associates conduct research and analysis on disaster preparedness topics, develop emergency response and recovery plans, design training events and exercises, and support incident after-action reports. Preparedness Associates will develop written products for Hagerty clients in accordance with the firm-s professional standards and work collaboratively with colleagues across geographies and disciplines to brainstorm, innovate, and problem-solve.

Candidates for Preparedness Associate must possess the following qualifications:

Preparedness Associate Basic Qualifications:

+ The desire to help communities and organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover fromnatural hazards, such as hurricanes and wildfires, and human-caused disasters such as infrastructure failures and active threat incidents

+ Bachelor-s degree or higher.

+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (a writing prompt is required during the interview process).

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).

Candidates for Preparedness Associate may also have the following qualifications:

Preparedness Associate Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience researching complex issues and presenting outcomes and insights to a supervisor or large audience.

+ Knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), the National Response Framework (NRF), National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and other federal preparedness guidance documents and policies.

+ The ability to be flexible and demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all endeavors.

+ Able to remain calm and poised under pressure, work successfully on multiple priorities simultaneously, and remain focused when working under tight deadlines.
