The Manager, Business Effectiveness & Finance is a member of the US TI&I (Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation) Business Management Office, which provides strategic and consulting support to all teams within US TI&I with a focus on running US TI&I as a business. US TI&I spans the areas of Commercial Operations, Technology, Information Security & Third-Party Governance, Fraud Management, Corporate Security, Data Management Office, Procurement, Corporate Real Estate, and Governance & Oversight. This role will support US Technology as a member of this evolving team.

This key role leads the financial analysis, reporting, and metrics associated with the production, management, and distribution of various US Technology reports. This includes recurring and one-time reports with distribution audiences in the CIBC enterprise and US region teams.

The role applies professional knowledge in the management of departmental budgets, costs, staffing, and managerial planning to participate in business plan management with US Technology. The Manager, Business Effectiveness & Finance provides delivery, support, and oversight mechanisms, ensuring strong management and control of processes and technology. The role applies innovation, substantial collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in the management, maintenance, and delivery of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

+ Leads the gathering, validation, and submission of data to enterprise teams for both recurring and one-time reports

+ You will produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and prepare financial analysis to provide leadership with insights needed to make decisions and understand changes.

+ Owns the gathering, preparation, and distribution of reports to US Tech Leadership Team members

+ Partners with members of management and the Finance team to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities

+ Manages the hiring approval process for US Technology, for employees and contractors, in collaboration with management, Human Resources, and Finance

+ Leads various strategic initiatives across the Business Management Office and in support of the US TI&I strategy; typically managing more than one project at a time

+ Provides expertise and content in creating strategies and new processes

+ Facilitates discussions and meetings at Senior Leadership tables

+ Identifies, escalates, and implements opportunities to enhance processes and procedures to drive efficiencies

+ Develops and maintains procedures for all areas of responsibility

+ Collaborates with numerous teams across the bank, as a liaison for US TI&I, to ensure various initiatives are completed in a timely manner
