We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Lockbox Remittance Processor in Elgin, Illnois. This role primarily involves handling and depositing remittances, processing documents, and maintaining accurate records. This position is integral to our team, ensuring efficient operation in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Handle and deposit remittances received via mail, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded

- Process and file documents in a timely and organized manner

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions

- Collaborate with the staffing team to ensure smooth operations

- Utilize lockbox processing system to manage customer accounts and remittances

- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and transactions

- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in all tasks

- Utilize knowledge of remittance processing to improve efficiency and accuracy

- Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed industry standards.

- Experience in handling deposits and ensuring their accurate and timely processing

- Ability to effectively collaborate with staffing teams to ensure smooth operations

- Prior experience as a remittance processor or in a similar role is preferred

- Familiarity with Lock Box operations including handling, sorting, and processing mail

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle issues that may arise during the remittance process

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork and customer service

- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping

- Ability to adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding remittance processing

- High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant field will be a plus.
