Job Description
Description We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in LOMBARD, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be tasked with reviewing and processing specific data, maintaining accuracy in records, and ensuring efficient communication within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review data for accuracy and completeness, making initial approval or rejection decisions.
- Process daily data files, ensuring accurate matching and appropriate categorization.
- Perform manual corrections on data entries exceeding a certain character limit.
- Assist in reviewing and looking up information for data entries that cannot be acquired through usual channels.
- Identify areas needing improved efficiencies and communicate these effectively.
- Undertake other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations within the team.
- Maintain precise data records and handle customer inquiries.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.
- Process customer applications efficiently and accurately. Requirements – Prior experience in a data entry role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in using data entry software and tools
- Excellent typing speed with high level of accuracy
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data responsibly
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and processes
- High school diploma or equivalent education level.
