We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Lockbox Remittance Processor in Chicago, Illinois, 60603-2300, United States. In this role, you will be handling and depositing remittances, maintaining documentation, and working closely with our staffing team to ensure efficient operation of our lockbox system.

Responsibilities:

- Handle and deposit remittances received by mail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

- Maintain and manage detailed documentation related to remittance transactions

- Collaborate closely with our staffing team to ensure a smooth flow in the lockbox system

- Utilize your skills in deposit processing to maximize productivity and accuracy

- Be responsive to inquiries and problems related to remittances and deposits

- Ensure all lockbox operations comply with industry standards and regulations

- Continually assess and refine processes related to remittance and deposit handling

- Collaborate with team members to improve overall efficiency of the lockbox system

- Contribute to the team’s objectives by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

- Demonstrated ability to handle and document deposits in a secure and timely manner

- Proven experience in a staffing role, preferably within a financial or banking environment

- Familiarity with processor duties, including the processing of checks and remittances

- Previous experience in a remittance processing role, or a similar role within the banking or financial industry

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple lockboxes effectively

- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet deadlines and targets

- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other team members and departments

- Basic knowledge of banking regulations and standards related to lockbox remittance processing

- Proficiency in using computer software and systems relevant to lockbox remittance processing

- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
