Job Summary:

The New Technology and Product Development Introduction (NTI / NPI) Process Steward role is critical for documenting, maintaining, and enhancing the technology and product development processes, and supporting these processes with facilitation, training, and applications to automate execution and tracking.

What You Will Do:

+ Process Stewardship: Act as the primary steward for the NTI / NPI process, ensuring all steps and actions are clearly documented and regularly updated based on performance insights.

+ Collaboration with Process Owners: Work closely with Enterprise Process Owners, NPI Managers, and Product Managers to ensure the NTI / NPI processes are aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

+ Documentation and Standardization: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all NTI / NPI processes, providing clear guidelines and work instructions for cross-functional teams.

+ Application Support: Coordinate with application development teams to implement and enhance tools that automate the execution and tracking of NTI / NPI processes. Ensure these applications are user-friendly and meet the needs of various stakeholders.

+ Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to NPI Managers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams on the documented processes and the use of automated tools.

+ Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of NTI / NPI processes and tools, collecting feedback from users to drive continuous improvement. Implement updates and enhancements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

+ Performance Tracking: Utilize dashboards and other analytical tools to track the performance of NTI / NPI processes. Provide regular reports to leadership on process efficiency, adherence, and areas for improvement.

+ Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the NTI / NPI process. Ensure all processes comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

+ Innovation and Technology Integration: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements. Integrate new methodologies and tools to enhance the NTI / NPI process

Education Requirement:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Project Management:

+ Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status.

+ Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects.

+ Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.

+ Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project.

+ Produces standard project status reports.

Lean Methodologies:

+ Possesses extensive knowledge of lean principles and methodologies tailored to technology and product development contexts.

+ Demonstrates proficiency in integrating lean principles into the organization’s technology and product development processes.

+ Leads the adoption of lean methodologies across the organization’s technology and product development functions, driving efficiency and innovation.

+ Educates and mentors teams on how lean principles can streamline technology and product development efforts, enhancing customer value and market competitiveness.

+ Advises on the application of lean approaches across different stages of technology and product development, fostering cross-functional collaboration and synergy.

+ Conducts comprehensive training sessions on key lean methodologies, measurements and equips teams with tools and techniques for measuring and improving performance in technology and product development.

+ Engages in detailed planning processes for implementing and monitoring lean initiatives in technology and product development, ensuring sustainable and impactful outcomes.

Additional Information

The locations for this position are Mossville, IL; Decatur, IL; Chicago, IL; East Peoria, IL; Pontiac, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position may require up to 25% travel.
