$71,152.74

POSITION SUMMARY

Under supervision, organizes, supports, and maintains employee engagement programs, events, and activities. Collaborates with internal partners to execute recognition initiatives and liaise with employee resource groups. Executes the community outreach efforts, recruitment and staffing strategies and initiatives to assist in hiring qualified candidates for positions across various Authority departments.

Qualifications

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Plans and delivers culture and engagement initiatives to enhance retention.

+ Responsible for executing company-wide culture and engagement initiatives, events, and programs in coordination with other departments, including planning, setup/takedown, and hosting as needed.

+ Acts as a liaison between divisions and departments to establish programs and develop viable methods of program implementation.

+ Communicates department initiatives, plans, policies, and procedures to CTA staff through written and verbal statements/explanations.

+ Collects information and announcements from departments on a monthly basis to update location communication monitor.

+ Assists in updates materials for New Employee Orientation and delivering bi-weekly presentation.

+ Participates in and supports administrative functions for employee resource groups.

+ Helps to maintain database of employee discounts, and regularly promotes discounts through internal communication platforms.

+ Assists with collecting content for newsletter and creates layout for digital and/or print versions.

+ Supports currently Employee Resource Groups and helps to launch new ones.

+ Serves as CTA representative at Job Fairs, Panels and Workshops.

+ Responsible for coordinating registration and payment and assigning coverage when needed.

+ Interacts and communicates with Job Fair providers, partner organizations, and Professional Associations to increase the number of community outreach events CTA participates in.

+ Provides post-event follow-up to attendees and non-attendees.

+ Responsible for updating and maintaining the CTA Job Fair Report.

+ Supports the execution of recruitment and diversity events in collaboration with community-based organizations, including veteran outreach.

+ Helps plan and host/cohost hiring events.

+ Works with staff throughout the Talent Acquisition & Marketing, Outreach and Engagement team to create strategies for cultivating and maintaining relationships with community organizations.

+ Maintains relationships within the organization and the community to develop and enhance client and community partnerships to assist in the recruitment of a diverse workforce.

+ Participates in establishing an effective framework for researching, evaluating, and executing effective community outreach programming.

+ Executes strategies that strengthen community connections and partnerships through outreach and programming.

+ Identifies opportunities for new initiatives to expand CTA’s reach and improve public image in key communities.

+ Maintains partnership database to track interactions, events, and ongoing programming with community partners.

+ Administers recognition programs and activities.

+ Coordinates the regular distribution of certificates for employee milestone, retirement, and other recognition activities.

+ Regularly updates the organization on engagement initiatives through an established communication calendar to build excitement and grow participation for upcoming programs, including holiday and heritage month celebrations.

+ Develops program marketing materials to advertise upcoming events and initiatives.

+ Participates in the development, implementation, and administration of Human Resources engagement projects, goals, objectives, and policies.

+ Reports on program participation and outcomes and makes suggestions for process improvement.

+ Documents changes to standard operating procedures.

+ Researches and suggests new engagement initiatives to drive retention.

+ Reports policy changes to those impacted.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Managing and prioritizing multiple projects and balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field, OR one (1) year program administration experience.

+ Experience in project management preferred.

+ Previous experience in graphic design preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

+ Requires remaining stationary for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.

+ Required to move, transport, and maneuver equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

+ Traversing (up to 3 miles) and ascending and descending stairs.

+ Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

+ Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel).

+ Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.

+ Strong project and time management skills.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Detailed knowledge of using standard office environment applications (browser, e-mail).

+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.

+ Ability to work independently and be pro-active and self-motivated.

+ Working knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn)

+ Ability to function as a member of a team dedicated to quality deliverables and exceptional customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS

+ General office environment.

+ Standard office equipment

+ Personal computer, digital camera/smartphone and related software.

Additional Details: Employees and/or union members will be given priority consideration in the hiring process, per the applicable labor contracts.

Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
