The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Director of Change Management and Communications to join our Global HR Evolution program and team. In this role you will partner with HR and business leaders to enable the human side of transformation, providing strategic focus, expertise, and guidance, ensuring people adopt the changes needed to support HR’s ongoing transformation. As a member of the HR Evolution Program Office, you will be instrumental in evolving our new ways of working and mindsets associated with new global HR processes, services, and technology. The Role

This role is responsible for leading a network of internal HR resources to develop and execute an integrated change and communications plan to support the adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes impacting employees by the initiatives of the HR Evolution Program Office (“HRE”). Key activities associated with executing the integrated change and comms plan include:

-Collaborate with HR and corporate communications to develop and document the vision for the change and how it aligns with Hyatt’s transformation and strategic outcomes

-Lead the Change and Comms workstream, partnering with existing team members and other workstream leads to expand the change and communications strategy using results from recent impact analyses and change readiness assessments

-Expand and manage the Change Management and Communications Project plan incorporating strategic and tactical targeted change and comms milestones and activities (e.g., stakeholder plan, communication plan, change network plan, training plan, adoption plan); support HR and business leaders in the execution of the plans. Work collaboratively with corporate communications and HR to formulate communication and training plans.

-Identify change execution success metrics and behavioral adoption plans. Create and manage measurement systems to track changes’ adoption, utilization, and proficiency.

-Identify change interdependencies between various workstreams and consolidate the milestones for an integrated change plan ensuring alignment with any other key HR and business initiatives

-Identify potential people-related risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns

-Proactively assess the complexity and risk associated with new processes, programs, services, and technology. Develop and refine the HRE change management service delivery model utilizing an agile model within the HRE budget requirements.

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

-10 years of HR experience on significant and global HR transformations involving re-engineered business processes and technology changes.

-Held significant change leader roles in a program management office on large-scale transformations in the past 3-5 years with proven success (i.e., providing support to executives and leading a team of change management resources).

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience Preferred:

-Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or Development, or Business Administration.

-A high desire for continual organizational change and transformation.

-Ability to develop flexible, practical, right-sized solutions with the ability to scale.

-Extensive business acumen, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to negotiate and influence within a matrix organization.

-Effectively manages competing priorities and is adept at balancing scope, timeline, and resources.

-Demonstrate initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively using agile approaches

-Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong executive presence.

-Highly organized with sound project management skills.

-Effective collaboration and facilitation skills.
