The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a self-driven excel macro developer to our Workplace Solutions Production Support team in the role of Excel Macro Process Automation Specialist . Lincoln’s Retirement Plans Services (RPS) organizations rely on automation to deliver efficiencies for many of their processes, with over 150 excel macros in use by the various teams across RPS, with another 100 expected to be created and implemented in 2024. In this role, you will support RPS by building and maintaining the various macros used by these teams. This role can work remote or out of one of our key city locations.

What you’ll be doing

+ Creating new excel macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

+ Completing the necessary development for enhancements or to fix a defect on an existing macro

+ Collaborating with business teams to finalize requirements and determine appropriate test scenarios

+ Consulting with various business users to determine whether a macro can deliver efficiency gains or improve quality output

+ Continuing efforts to build out classes that increase efficiency and turnaround times of the macro development process

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

+ 1-3+ years of experience with Visual Basic for Applications

+ 4 year degree or equivalent work experience

+ Ability to translate business requirements into a macro design solution and then subsequent code development

+ Expert level of experience with Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of other Microsoft office applications, including Word and Access

+ An organized, self-driven, critical thinker who can work both independently and within a team

Nice-to-haves:

+ Knowledge of Selenium, IBM Communicator and other tools that enable VBA to interface with various systems and applications

+ Microsoft Access Database development experience

+ Microsoft Access SQL knowledge and experience

The pay range for this position is $53,500 – $92,500 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
