Required Skills:

Camera System Analysis Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Define engineering requirement specification for design, test, manufacturing and sourcing of camera module, lens, optical filter and other camera components.

2. Lead manufacturing partners on camera hardware design evaluation, prototyping, qualification and production bring up.

3. Work with internal cross-functional teams, contract manufacturer camera integrators and component suppliers on DFM and camera module assembly NPI line bring-up.

4. Interact with cross-functional engineering teams (Product design, Industrial design, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sensor Technology, and Technical Program Management) for camera hardware development and system integration.

5. Debug optical/electrical/mechanical issues during camera module development.

6. Lead camera sub-system validation and testing (including image quality, electrical and mechanical testing) in both internal Lab and at manufacturing sites.

7. Work with image sensor and camera module vendors to define roadmaps, priorities, and custom solutions for Augmented/Virtual Reality products.

8. Failure analysis and debugging of camera hardware at both module and product level.

9. Create proof of concepts camera hardware around the latest camera hardware technologies.

10. Provide camera system metrology and validation plan and instructions to internal and/or external design, prototyping and manufacturing groups.

11. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

12. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Nanotechnology, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 60 months of experience involving the following:

13. 1. Camera module design principles and best practices with knowledge of image quality fundamentals and their system drivers

14. 2. Electronics manufacturing, partnering with suppliers and contract manufacturers

15. 3. Data analysis with JMP, MATLAB, Excel, or other analysis software

16. 4. Testing methodologies and engineering qualification and verification activities related to camera modules

17. 5. Developing system concept of operations, define system architectures and requirement elicitation

18. 6. Electronics, photonics and optics lab experiences

19. 7. Radiometry and performance modeling of complex camera systems.

Public Compensation:

$203,350/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
