Position Summary:
Perform a variety of duties relative to the timely and accurate application of payments received from our customers. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the integrated online cash application system including entry, matching, and inquiry screens. In addition, must become proficient in additional functions provided by system upgrades.
Major areas of accountability:
+ Independently perform all necessary tasks daily to complete and process all types of customer payments (checks, wires ACHs), credit memo applications and non-cash transactions in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with division policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
+ Ensure payment is applied to the proper dealer / supplier. Scan all payment backup and supporting documentation into SharePoint as required.
+ Accurately input payment details into tracking logs and provide timely updates on status of funds.
+ Effectively document and report any / all payment issues to the appropriate parties for immediate resolution. Aggressively follow up on any outstanding payment application issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Respond to and coordinate all inquiries or special requests regarding the status or application of payments.
+ Complete all other assigned tasks as required.
Basic qualifications:
+ High school diploma, some college preferred
+ 1 to 3 years’ experience with accounts receivables
+ Experience in an accounting environment
Preferred work experience/skills:
+ Related copy/mail/clerical experience
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
+ Exceptional customer service skills a must
+ Strong written and verbal skills
+ Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks at once with accuracy
+ Acute attention to detail
+ Defect prevention mindset
