Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Release Manager to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will leverage Azure DevOps (ADO) and Copado to manage Salesforce release cycles, oversee a team of IT consultants, and ensure seamless deployment of code within Salesforce. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various levels of leadership and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Release Management:

o Manage and coordinate Salesforce release cycles using ADO and Copado.

o Oversee the deployment of code within Salesforce, ensuring smooth and timely releases.

o Work directly with system administrators to ensure coordination and smooth execution of releases.

2. Team Leadership:

o Lead a team of IT consultants responsible for analyzing business requirements and ensuring successful deployments.

o Provide guidance and oversight to developers and business partners in grooming stories and verifying functionality.

o Supervise a Scrum Master who facilitates various projects, including testing and bug resolution related to Salesforce production releases.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

o Interact with all levels of leadership within the organization, both in IT and business units.

o Communicate effectively with business partners to understand their needs and ensure alignment with IT deliverables.

o Oversee the output to the business, ensuring release success and clarity on what was included in each release.

4. Project Management:

o Maintain and manage ADO boards for project tracking and management.

o Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

o Identify and mitigate risks associated with Salesforce releases.

5. Quality Assurance:

o Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance for all Salesforce deployments.

o Ensure that all functionalities built by developers meet the required standards and business needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 5 years relevant work experience or some combination of experience and education in the IT field.

- Proven experience as a Salesforce Release Manager or similar role.

- Strong expertise in using ADO (Azure DevOps) and Copado for release management.

- Experience overseeing a team of IT consultants and working with developers in an agile environment.

- Solid understanding of Scrum methodology and experience working with a Scrum Master.

- Familiarity with SOX compliance.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of leadership.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer) are a plus.
