The Opportunity

The Chief of Staff position, reports to the director of business operations within the connected vehicle department and will directly work with and support the head of connected vehicle software. Interfacing with other development leaders across cloud platform and operations, infotainment, and other vehicle systems. This position has responsibility for driving actions, strategies and ensuring clear and frequent communication to align teams.

This is a business leadership position, that will include technical information, that has accountability for the scoping and delivery of Projects, Strategies and Objectives on time to plan. This position is an exciting and rapidly evolving space that requires adaptability and attention to detail.

The candidate for this role must be able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and drive consistency of purpose for a complex organization. Prior experience in driving cross functional teams in multifaceted technical, legal, and regulatory constrained environments is essential. The candidate will have demonstrated strong collaboration in delivering Enterprise level initiatives. Prior experience in similar mobility roles, or in associated Industries is an advantage.

What you’ll do…

+ Re-define a vision, strategy and set of KPIs for this function – specification, development, deployment, quality, and operations.

+ Drive delivery discipline and best practices through the organization.

+ Ensure projects and upgrades are delivered robustly and on time.

+ Recruit, assign, develop and direct a diverse multi-disciplined skill team.

Functional & Technical Knowledge The minimum requirements we seek:

You’ll have…

+ Bachelor’s degree.

+ 5 years working in an associated field.

+ 2+ years of expereince in a role transforming a large multi-disciplined organization focused on delivery.

+ 2+ years experience driving actions to closure with a bias for action.

+ 2+ years experience in clear and consistent communications across business, product and technical teams

+ 2+ years experience with communications plans, to ensure alignment at all levels

+ 2 years experience with Project or program management experience.

Even better, you may have…

+ Master level degree preferred.

+ Deep understand of mobility solutions spanning hardware, embedded software, apps and clouds.

+ Excellent communication skills both up and down the organization to achieve the desired results.

+ Critical Thinking: Demonstrated examples of applying systemic thinking, logic, and reasoning skills to be able to identify opportunities, alternative solutions, or approaches to problems.

+ Organizational skill: Strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction coupled with an ability to move within the organization to complete work and balance tradeoffs.

+ Strategic thinking: Demonstrated examples of driving strategy from concept through to implmentation.
