A leading metal manufacturer is looking to add a Engineering Manager to their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Libertyville IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of engineering supervision experience and will have 4 engineers reporting to them. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of Engineering for a manufacturing plant which may include Engineering projects, product design, equipment maintenance, process improvement, quoting/costing, and BOM/Routing maintenance. Experience with GD&T and metal stamping are highly preferred.

• This postion comes with a 20% bonus of your total salary based off how company does and how you do individually,this bonus has been paid out the last 5 years in a row****

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

+ 3-5 years of engineering supervision experience

+ Metal Stamping and/or Fabrication experience is required

+ Experienced in geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GDT)

+ Maintain product set up and documentation including part numbers, part descriptions, BOMs, labor rates, etc.

+ Maintain engineering change notices

+ Conduct time studies, determining manufacturing process times and capacities

+ Utilize product drawings, specifications, and other engineering data to develop processes

+ Support manufacturing operations such as: tooling, stamping, perforating, forming, and welding

+ Determine the sequence of steps in manufacturing processes, such as: manufacturing costing, fabrication and assembly, along with all elements required to complete product development while meeting safety, quality, and cost goals
