Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is current seeking a Zone Service Manager – Central Region to join our team. This position will be remote from a home office within the Central region (US), preferably within the following geographies: Raleigh, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Nashville, TN; Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; Indianapolis, IN. Relocation assistance to the central region will be provided if needed. Travel will be expected around 25% of the time on average but can fluctuate to 50% at times.

Our CPS Division is roughly a $1.5B global business encompassing product lines ranging from Uninterruptible Power Systems, Energy Storage Systems, and Power Distribution equipment. These innovative products are driving the success of our electrical sector and serve customers in a variety of industries, especially our growing Data Center business. The Zone Service Manager – Central Region is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the CPS Service regional operations toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals, while continually improving quality and customer service levels within the CPS service teams. As the window to the local market, the Zone Service Manager’s charge is to increase the net present value of Eaton’s relationship with assigned territory customers by driving near-term revenue and positioning Eaton for larger wins in the future. The Zone Service Manager is responsible for leading & developing his or her direct reports, field service technicians, to drive top performance and world class customer support.

- Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments, including the development & deployment of safety programs, maintaining compliance with safety policies, and facilitating the availability of safety equipment resources.

- Act as sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales and bottom-line profit objectives are met. Provide strategic direction to identify and develop prospective new customers.

- Develop forwarding looking profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these numbers on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Responsible for budgeting and procurement of capital equipment for the region, efficient execution of sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects.

- Assure an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region.

- Effectively manages leadership team of diverse and dispersed field-based workforce throughout assigned region. Demonstrates good corporate citizenship.

- Develop and deploy product/process improvement initiatives and sharing of best practices throughout and across the regions.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

- Minimum of five years leading a service or engineering unit, or seven years of people leadership experience in another professional area

- Minimum ten years of professional experience

- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.

- Experience with field service practices and procedures and quality programs.

- Knowledge of uninterruptable power systems and control products.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints.

- Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage a large fiscal entity.

- Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives, engineers and technicians.

Skills:

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97- $225499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
