Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician that will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all facilities are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of maintenance procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Routine Maintenance:

2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

3. Replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and perform other maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

4. Repair and Troubleshooting:

5. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and determine the appropriate solutions.

6. Repair or replace faulty components and systems to restore functionality.

7. Document maintenance activities and repairs performed in maintenance logs.

8. Emergency Response:

9. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.

10. Coordinate with vendors or specialists for more complex repairs when necessary.

11. Safety and Compliance:

12. Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

14. Adhere to compliance standards and regulatory requirements.

15. Inventory Management:

16. Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

17. Order parts and materials as needed, ensuring timely availability for maintenance tasks.

18. Documentation and Reporting:

19. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair history and service logs.

20. Report any significant issues or potential improvements to the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field is preferred.

+ Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.

+ Strong knowledge of building systems and electrical.

+ Proficient in using hand and power tools.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.

+ Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

+ Availability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts if required.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and crawling.

+ Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
