Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The Tray Runner position is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of patient trays from patient units. This position is responsible for daily floor stock inventory and cleanliness of unit nourishment / utility rooms. Qualifications: CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to follow written and oral communication. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with co-workers, nursing staff, patients and guests of the hospital. Knowledge of modified diets. Customer Service Skills. Essential Functions:

+ Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.

+ Deliver or serve patient/guest meal trays in a timely manner.

+ Keep production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.

+ Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.

+ Customer service skills

+ Complete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.

+ Maintain dish room, ware washing area and tray assembly area in a clean and sanitary manner.
